Our client, a large and established pension fund based in Central London are currently seeking a Fund Accountant role to assist them an increasing workload.WHATS ON OFFER:
RATE: £400 PER DAY
CONTRACT: 6 MONTHS
LOCATION: LONDON
The Role:
- Completing Interim and Final accounts on the investment side
- Carrying out all work associated with on boarding the new custodian and depositary
- Clearing up inconsistent historical ledgers
- Investment Accounting / Reporting for a dual structure fund
- Oversight of NAV, dealing with Custodian and depositary
- Consolidated accounts preparation
- Review Investment Committee papers for financial aspects and provide written comments in time for committee deadlines
- Take the lead in building a good working relationship with the custodian and ensure that the arrangement both meets the needs of the organisation and delivers good value for money
- Monthly monitoring of all financial aspects of accounts in scope for the role, contributing to the team output in a timely manner and to a high standard of quality. Provide compliance reporting in relation to investment activities
- Gain a good knowledge and understanding of the current activities in the investment team and ensure that all financial aspects are considered. Enable investment activity by ensuring that the financial infrastructure is in place to support the activity, including acting as the back office function for direct investment
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience working as a Fund/Investment Accountant
- Experience working for the custodian and depositary doing corporate reporting
- Experience carrying out interim and final investment accounts
- Ideally you will have experience with investment performance and risk reporting
