Description

Empiric are working with a leading fund services organisation with key operational presence in Edinburgh.

They are currently looking for an experienced migration manager or team member with a strong knowledge of fund accounting. You will undertake detailed upfront analysis of the fund structures from current TPA data.

This this will involve review of fund pricing, Trial Balance accounts, and Tax and Fee Structures as well as Operational processes supporting the funds followed by mappings of the funds to HSS methodology and models which will support a successful migration.

The role holder will be a subject matter expert working on TPA migrations playing a key role in the migration team supporting the lead migration manager including defining Transition Methodology documentation and migration success criteria.

They are looking for a candidate from a similar background with experience of trial balances, analysis, testing and live

fund migration experience. The candidate(s) must understand a trial balance, how to map a trial balance etc

Experience/Skills Required:

Significant operational experience or sound understanding of the principals/objectives of life and pension fund accounting essential.

Proven Track record of Fund migration/on-boarding experience essential

Client facing migration management or change experience highly desirable

Sound understanding of Fund Accounting Systems - Icon preferable

Experience of P Control desirable

Knowledge/Skills

Strong systems skills

NAV Pricing or Life Fund Accounting

Astute knowledge of fund accounting reporting

End to End Operational understanding of fund accounting

Qualifications

IAQ Merit Award or equivalent.- Required

PRINCE2/Six Sigma - Desired

IMC Certificate - Desired

CFA - Desired

ACCA/CIMA - Desired

This is a contract role for an initial 10 month term and a day rate of around £400/£500 (DOE)
