Description
My client, an NHS organisation is recruiting for an interim Infection Prevention and Control specialist for a period of 3 months.To be considered for this role you will ideally come from a clinical background and have thorough experience working in governance and patient safety roles within the NHS.
Key elements of the role include;
- Ensuring risks of infection are identified throughout the organisation
- Ensuring local infection control policies reflect corporate policies
- Ensuring all staff have completed mandatory infection prevention and control training
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in cases of infection to identify risks
- Able to apply specialist knowledge to risk assessment and support appropriate controls
- Ability to provide leadership and development of all disciplines of staff
