Introduction:
Since its founding in 1997 ITech Consult AG has expanded its network of freelance IT continuously. Today we have access to over 30,000 reported IT specialists (developers, system specialists, project managers, supporters, etc.) So we are able to present computer science professionals with the required profiles in a short term.
Role:
Our client is looking for a Senior Consultant for the setup of a global PMO program. Ideally you have a professional background in the field of production / manufacturing / engineering. We are explicitly not looking for any candidate profiles with a professional background / focus in IT / Computer Science and/or finance.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Set-up and install a Project Management Office within Operations Instrumentation
- Plan and install a Project Management organization
- Plan and derive the monthly project roadmap
- Lead the monthly project meetings
- Be single entry point for operations projects
- Set-up a prioritization process for all projects
- Evaluate project proposals and lead decision process
- Track project activities and dependencies with other projects
2. Set-up and install standardized project management tools and processes aligned with existing Global Operations tools
- Project Planning and Project Reporting Tools
- Project charters: targets, scope, procedures, KPI's, etc.
- Project management handbook
3. Establish standardized Project Reporting
- Collect the relevant key performance indicators as well as prepare and communicate reports on project status and project progress
- Create and maintain task-, resource- and budget plans
4. Establish project management skills: trainings, coaching and best practice exchange
5. Set-up and lead projects in the fields of Lean Six Sigma using Lean principles and Six Sigma methods and tools
6. Support project leaders in project set-up, project planning, project controlling and project management procedures and tools
Requirements:
- Degree in Science / Engineering / Business Administration or relevant area of study
- More than 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or member of a Project Management Support Organization
- Experience in setting-up a Project Management Office in a bigger organization
- Excellent knowledge in Project Management tools, processes and reporting (KPI's)
- Experience in training and coaching, especially in PMO tools and processes
- Experience in operations and manufacturing/production, additional experience in quality management of medical devices is a plus.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher degree is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge in lean principles/methods, statistics and statistical analysis (e.g. SPC)
- Ability and willingness to work independently in cross-functional teams with focus on Project Management
- Excellent process understanding and skills in planning and organization
- Project Management certification, e.g. PMI, PRINCE, IPMA
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and MS project management tool
- Good knowledge of PMO tools (e.g mpmGPS, GRRP or TABLEAU.....)
- Very good communication skills throughout all levels of the organization
- Proved team-minded approaches
- High social competences as integration and active listening
