Cathcart Energy are recruiting for a "Wind Farm Logistics Coordinator" to work out of Edinburgh for a 12 month contract. This is a great opportunity to work for a global wind turbine manufacturing company.
Our client is looking for someone to take on the operational logistics responsibility in the UK and Europe.
For this position you will need to have a full EU Class B driving licence and willingness to travel internationally. Proficient with all MS Office applications and good SAP user skills an excellent command of English in speech and writing.
Project responsibility will be to Interface function between Project Management, Back Office/construction team, transport & crane service providers, facilities and stevedoring in the port for the respective project, as well as Sales and Service. Coordinating all incoming and outgoing transports on the construction site as well as crane deployments in the respective area of responsibility. Coordinating information between construction sites, shippers in the port, transport and crane service providers in a given region.
Main tasks
- Planning and updating the transport data for direct and subsequent transports in SAP
- Carrying out and monitoring route surveys
- Chasing up permits/approvals and managing and reporting additional costs
- Carrying out the project review/service provider assessment
- Actively participating in the "early warning system" prior to project execution
Your profile
- University/college degree in transport/logistics preferably
- Completed vocational training in logistics and forwarder field or long-term work experience in advertised job profile (heavy haulage field/crane services)
- Good technical and logistical understanding
- Systematic, independent work style as well as pronounced team-oriented approach and communication skills
- Resilience, flexibility and strong commitment as well as very good organisational skills
