Wireless Technical Service Engineer

Our client, a global leading telecommunication company are recruiting for a Wireless Technical Service Engineer to join their business in the Ireland.

Responsibilities:
- Wireless technical service
-- GSM/UMTS/WiMAX/LTE access network equipments data configuration
-- Commissioning and integrate BTS/NodeB/BSC/RNC/eNodeB on site
-- Solving wireless technical issues, working with radio planning engineers, R&D engineers as needed
-- GSM/UMTS/WiMAX/LTE access network equipments daily maintenance
- Swap and New-build site supervisor
-- Follow all site design and construction guidelines and procedures
-- Site survey before equipment installation
-- Ensure the accurate technical reporting of all milestones
-- Supervise Swap activities on site as per individual requirement and strict lead-time
-- Ensure the subcontractors deliver as per agreed targets and accepting work
-- Solve equipment technical issues on site
- Site Specifications and QA
-- Wireless equipments hardware and software quality assurance
-- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are satisfied
-- Work with Subcontractors to ensure site implementation

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in telecommunications/electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent
- Relevant Flexi, Ultrasite, Metrosite, RBS series, etc. training and experience
- Good understanding of 2G and 3G telecom networks i.e. elements, protocols, services, configuration etc.
- Delivering results – demonstrate a systematic and logical problem solving technique, in order to formulate and deliver to business SLA’s and recovery action plans. Will also be able to work as an individual or as part of a team to ensure appropriate actions are taken and targets are met
- Putting customers first – has the ability to work in a high pressure environment as required to resolve faults and issues in order to restore network availability and therefore minimise impact on the customer
- Communicating for impact – communicates effectively at all levels. Able to translate complex technical issues into plain language for making and influencing reasoned decisions
- Hands-on radio equipment rollout experiences in the UK
- Hands-on radio equipment swap experience in the UK
- Knowledge of Turnkey service delivery
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
