Description

Our Client is an international IT organisation providing technical and communication support to other entities on a global basis.

3 x OSS Consultants (Operation Support Specialists) are required to support ongoing operations for an initial period of 12 months, working from the client's European office in Valencia, Spain,
As an OSS Consultant (or OSS Engineer, Operations Bridge Operator) your responsibilities will include:
  • Provide event management and monitoring in a distributed and Mainframe environment using various monitoring technologies.
  • Identify, resolve, or escalate event notifications which may impact systems availability.
  • Provide monitoring and support for batch jobs
  • Perform moderate incident analysis and resolution support
  • Receive and respond to customer support requests
  • Open service tickets and initiaite escalation procedures
  • Monitor incident resolution times
  • Document monitoring procedures and systems
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Work on a 12 hour shift during day and/or night, weekends and public holidays

Your Support skills should include:

  • Completion of secondary school education or equivalent technical school
  • At least 1 year in a service desk or IT support role
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting international customers
  • Proven ability to maintain and improve quality standards
  • CRM tools operator skills
  • Network and systems administration experience
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server, Voice Over IP, Relational database, Virtualization technologies, Scripting in VB or MS power Shell, Business reporting tools, IT security.
  • Installation and support of Servers or network.
  • Certification in Cisco CCNA, Microsoft server related MCP, Microsoft Exchange Server or other relevant technologies.
  • ITIL & Prince2 knowledge or experience is ideal.
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Spanish is desirable
  • Capable of dealing with customer issues in a polite and effective manner
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team environment
