Summary:- Category management
- Leads the development and implementation of the purchasing strategy for specified sub-categories
- Negotiates contracts and lowest Total Cost of Ownership for sub-categories
- Develops strong understanding of the market and monitors competitive factors
- Leads, supports or coordinates cross-functional teams
- Optimizes supply base
- Assists Purchasing directors in developing, implementing, and communicating the corporate-wide Purchasing strategy
- Establishes sub-category priorities based on benefits opportunities
- Follow P12 or RM Introduction process for new sources or new Raw Material
- Set FLC and Budget value as per the process Supplier Management with suppliers on performance metrics (lead times, punctuality& quality performance)
- Leads supplier diversity initiatives for sub-category
- As VRM builds relationship with selected suppliers to leverage innovation, improved business terms, improve service delivery and reduce dependency (see VRM R&R).
- Purchasing Responsibility
- Ensures with CoE Purchasing leads/Managers contract terms are implemented and adhered too
- Delivers on raw materials budget
- VMOI/extended payment terms/improve lead times
- Delivers best TCO's vs. market for their respective sub-categories
- Populating savings opportunity in pipeline (savings tracker)
- MS Office
