My client is a leading investment management firm recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant based in the City of London.
This is a fantastic role for a market leading financial institution:
The Senior Financial Accountant will:
Ensure an efficient financial month-end close process, with timely and accurate preparation of journals and review of junior staff work
Perform and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations for different reporting requirements
Cash management by preparing and reviewing cash flow forecasts
Aid commercial and operational planning by assisting senior stakeholders with preparation of annual budgets
Provide senior management with insightful management reporting including variance analysis and written commentary
Ensure all entities fulfil their legal, tax and regulatory obligations by taking ownership of and managing the preparation of annual financial statements and external returns (FCA, VAT, PSA etc)
Manage an efficient and effective year-end audit & tax compliance process by leading the audit planning, providing timely responses to external auditor's queries
Ensure effective maintenance of internal controls
The Senior Financial Accountant MUST have previous Investment management experience:
The successful applicant will have the following experience/qualifications:
Two to three years post-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Financial and management accounting in the financial services ideally private equity
Working knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS accounting and reporting
Managing annual audit process and dealing with external auditors
