Video Broadcasting Engineer - Digital Streaming - DVB2/DVBS, West London
Our client a major Media giant requires the services of a Network Project Installation Engineer for a 6 month+ contract based in West London.
This role is a 24/7 Shift work pattern with the responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the Coding and Multiplexing Broadcast operation for all Services on Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT), Digital Satellite (DSAT) and iPlayer.
Duties of the role:

Multiplexing and coding for terrestrial, satellite and iPlayer services across the UK

Encoding baseband signals and outputting to the various BBC services

Background with broadcaster would be ideal (BBC, SKY, Arqiva)

Must have experience with Digital Video Broadcasting - DVB2 and/or DVBS

Experience with broadcast specific manufacturers such as Thompson, Avert, Ericsson would be an advantage

Networking experience also an advantage
This is an on-call engineer position and so the candidates will need to be able to commit to shift pattern work.
