Description
My London based Local Authority client are looking for a Capital Manager to be the financial lead on capital accounting and assume responsibility for capital accounts and provide financial information for management and decision making for the Council's capital programme.
Main purpose:
- To provide key information in respect of capital for council's Business Planning in relation to capital.
- To undertake and present complex financial analysis to assist decision-making, and for the purposes of financial accounting, grant claims, government returns, recharges, pricing, etc.
Experience need:
- Has successfully lead on the closing of capital accounts for a UK local authority under currently regulations.
- Knowledge/Experience of Inputting and extraction of information an asset register for account closure
- Knowledge/Experience of asset related year end accounting entries (including capital expenditure and finance leasing)
- Knowledge/Experience of preparation of notes to the accounts in respect of assets (including capital expenditure and finance leasing)
- Experience of dealing with external audit for year-end accounting
- Full professional membership of CIPFA or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
