Description

A major client who is a market leader in their field is seeking a manual tester to join their product operations team for an upcoming project.

Role: Manual Test Engineer

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Location: Cork

The QA Specialist should be familiar with testing principals and processes (including Agile) and will ideally have a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately test system functionality and ensure compliance with project specification
  • Liaise with systems analysts and developers on the test scripts and expected results
  • Create system test data and test scenarios and document expected results
  • Prepare and deliver feedback to key stakeholders in relation to test results and software quality
  • Prepare and assist with documentation of system release notes, updates and overall QA of both the product and software
  • Record and track defects, using approved defect tracking procedures, and work closely with developers to achieve the resolution of those defects
  • Complete all testing within the agreed timescale as per the project test plan and test estimates
  • Escalate and prioritise of any issues relating to test efforts as and when appropriate
  • Contribute to all aspects of the systems Quality Assurance process for both new and existing functionality

    • Bachelor's degree with course work in computer science, information systems and business management
    • Experience in a similar role in a QA environment
    • Ability to work under pressure with excellent problem solving ability
