Support Engineer (Field Services)
One of our global leading tech clients urgently requires a Dutch and French speaking Support Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Belgium. Ideally you will be available to start as soon as possible.
Languages: Fluent French, Dutch & strong English
Key Responsibilities
- Providing customer break fix support including off office hours and weekends for designated equipment in plant and campus
- Maintain, analyse, troubleshoot and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
- Document, maintain and install upgrades or replace hardware and software systems
- Accepting and delivery of all service calls assigned
- Completing all administrative tasks associated with each call
- Responsible for control and return of assets and inventory
- Installing wires and cables as well as splice wires or cables
- Inspect and test wiring to locate and repair problems as well as ensuring that all specifications are met
Backup tape replacement
Handling procurements
- Support other client locations in Belgium remotely if required.
- Support Remote Desktop support team if required.
Support implementing/executing infrastructure-projects (small projects) only locally within the location.
Be available to provide 24/7 out of hours emergency support when required (Overtime)
The successful Support Engineer will have the following required Skills & Experience:
- Good Communication skills
- ITIL concepts strongly preferred
- MCSE or MCP preferred
- Min 5 years of relevant experience
