Description
My leading financial services client is looking for Management Account to take accountability and ownership for the preparation of the SPV, BIF management accounts, improve Central Functions Cost Reporting and subsequently influence the Global Cost base. You will be tasked with partnering the Heads of Central Functions and provide functional excellence and good stakeholder management. Work with the FBP('s) in the provision/generation of, and enhancements to powerful and timely Global Board and ExCo reporting/analysis and insight (MI).
To provide assistance to the FBP('s) to enhance insight into product and client profitability, ensuring long term profits are maximised (UK). To support the Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting processes. To complete Statutory Accounts and support the annual audit process and internal review processes. To complete VAT calculations and returns and support the calculation and preparation of Corporation Tax returns.
Core Task will include:
- Accountability and ownership of the preparation of monthly management accounts & MI to agreed deadlines
- Preparation (where necessary) of intercompany recharges and reconciliations
- Bank Account Reconciliations
- Balance Sheet Reviews & Reconciliations including Accruals/Prepayments/AP Control Accounts
- Support the preparation of the Budget and Forecasts and subsequent variance analysis to these
- Support the Treasury team as back up to manage the 3 Borrowing Bases which fund the business.
- Preparation of VAT returns & de-minimus calculations
- Support Corporation Tax calculations and support the preparation of CT returns
- Development of strong relationships with the management teams of the Functions to drive a culture of cost control and support business decisions.
- Attend financial management meetings with stakeholders, providing appropriate management information to allow key financial decision-making
