My client is a market leading insurance company with a global presence. They are looking to hire an Underwriting Support Technician to join their team on a six month contract with an excellent daily rate for the right candidate. What's the purpose of the role?
In a nutshell to provide an efficient and high quality technical and accounting support services to internal and external customers.
What are your main responsibilities?
- To deal with all technical and accounting support functions.
- Financial Accounts liaison including unmatched cash, uncollected brokerage and funded items.
- Resolving queries received from Analytics, regarding difference between Written and Premium Bordereaux, where Coverholders need to be consulted.
- Produce Policy documents annually for each coverholder within agreed SLA's.
What experience will you need?
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
- Ability to work under pressure and methodically carry out repetitive work and without supervision.
- Ability to liaise with colleagues when appropriate.
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to construct effective written communications, including letters and reports.
- Ability to quickly learn how to deal with new tasks
- Confident and effective telephone skills.
