Safe System of Work Controller.
12 Month Contract.
£20.34 PAYE.
Drigg, Cumbria.

Our client has an opportunity for a Safe System of Works Controller based on the client site. If you hold the below experience and qualifications please get in touch regarding the role.

Job Description:

* To ensure that the safe custodianship of the PCM facilities is maintained before during and after Decommissioning and Maintenance operations.
* To provide advice and guidance on issues appropriate to the working areas relating to the PCM Decommissioning Programme Team.
* Issue and communicate safety documentation/information for a prescribed area of plant under the control of PCM Operations Manager.
* Supporting tasks associated with the overall PCM Programme Delivery carried out by the PCM Operations Team, Projects Team, Building Management, Maintenance Team and other plant focused operations as directed by the PCM Programme Delivery Manager.
* Provide a working interface between other Site SSC's.
* Produce, provide commentary, maintain and archive Safe System of Work documentation ensuring accurate records are maintained for future reference.
* Carry out audit compliance to Safe Systems of Work and report or initiate any necessary remedial action.
* Comply with legislative, regulatory procedures & standards. eg Safety, quality, risk, security, etc. appropriate to area of operations.
* Coordinate and manage the interface with other areas of the company, support groups and stake holders to secure their commitment to achieve project objectives.
* Be largely self-directed within general guidelines and detailed plans and objectives.
* Provide input to the PCM Programme Document Review Committee.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

* Current SSC appointment
* Sound understanding of Document Review Committee Terms of Reference and structure
* IT proficiency
* Demonstrable safety case knowledge
* Experience of Nuclear Decommissioning operations.
* Current DAP
* Current Plant Owner appointment
* Knowledge of latest CDM regulations
* Can demonstrate having the ability to engage others and work as part of a wider team
* Provide evidence of having good communication skills across all levels
* The successful candidate will be expected to be security cleared to a minimum of SC level
