Description

Day-to-day

- Switching - Advanced knowledge of Cisco IOS based switches, VTP, STP, RSTP, PVST+, Trunking, VLAN's, QoS, Layer 3 switches, Etherchannel, FastEthernet, Gigabit and TenGigabitEthernet.

- Routing - Static Routing, HSRP, GLBP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP & EBGP, Policy Based Routing, redistribution and summarisation.

- Wireless - Aerohive Access Point & Hive Manager

- Security/Firewalls - IPsec, VPN's, Access lists, 802.1x, IDS/IPS, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Checkpoint Firewalls, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco FWSM

- Network monitoring systems - Solarwinds Network Performance Monitor

- General knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NTP, MPLS, Multicast, Packet sniffers & Protocol Analysers, leased lines, DSL technologies, Wavelength Division Multiplexing technologies, Load Balancing, Capacity planning

- Enterprise level design experience, incorporating scalable, hierarchical models for LAN's, WAN's, Server Farms and DMZ's

Requirements:

- CISCO Qualification CCNA Qualified (minimum) CCNP (ideal)

- Experience of High Level Troubleshooting

- Configuring Switches and Routers

- Experience with Hardware and Software based Firewalls

- CISCO, Checkpoint,

- WAN / LAN / WLAN

- TCP/IP

- You must also have first class communication skills
