Naval Requirements Engineer - Systems- requirements, integration, verification, DOORS

A Naval Requirements Engineer - Systems with requirements, integration, verification, navy experience is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Cumbria

This is a 12 month contract with a UK leading defence client.

Overview of the Naval Requirements Engineer - Systems contract role

In this pivotal role in our Systems Engineering Team, you will contribute, within a challenging engineering environment to the successful delivery of future submarines; specifically by executing Requirement Management Activities through delivering and engaging the Engineering teams utilising cross functional tasking whilst recognising stakeholder and customer requirements.

Key skills required for the Naval Requirements Engineer - Systems

  • BEng (Hons)/MEng or equivalent
  • CEng status (or be able to satisfy requirements for CEng
  • MIET or Member of INCOSE
  • Experience of Requirements Management activities utilising DOORS on complex safety related projects with excellent communication skills
  • Background in Marine or Aeronautical Engineering or similar complex Engineering Disciplines
  • A proven track record of Systems Engineering, coupled with knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Stakeholder Management, Requirements Management tasking, Functional Analysis, Submarine Systems knowledge

The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
