IT Manager - IT Systems, Network, Infrastructure - Initial 6 months contract - £325 to £360 per dayMy client a global leader are looking to bring on a IT Manager for an initial 6 months contract which is likely to extend for 18-24 months and assist a small team in ensuring understanding of current systems and processes and then migrate and integrate it into the organisations centralized system. The role will be based near Bath.
This role would ideally suit someone who has;
Current practical IT systems and service management experience
A proactive hands-on approach to day-to-day management of IT services/systems.
Managed an IT Service delivery team and supported existing staff through change activity.
Experience of supporting Business change.
Kept up to date with best practice and proactively develops new skills as required.
A 'can-do' attitude and will not be fazed by the challenge that this role presents.
Tasks
Manage on-going provision of existing IT services/systems to the Business
Review, contribute and support the organisations plans to progress the transition of IT services/systems.
Interpret/explain the local Business impact of transitioning to the organisations shared services.
Present transition plans to Senior Management/stakeholders for information and approval
Management of IT budget
Day to day management of direct reports
Essential Skills
Practical working knowledge of best practice for IT systems, network and Infrastructure
Self-starter with drive, enthusiasm and an ability to overcome challenges and objections
Approachable with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the Business
Leadership and coaching of direct reports
Commercial awareness, working to a budget
Desirable Skills
General knowledge of ITIL framework.
Project management methodologies.
Managing and contributing to general IT Business Systems and Infrastructure projects.
Negotiate effectively with suppliers and vendors.
Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, ability to influence and persuade.
Documentation experience (with Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
