Workstation/Server Admin
Columbia, SC
1 year+ contract
Required Skills/Experience:
- 3 - 5 years of experience deploying software to Servers and/or workstations.
- Four years of experience with SCCM, Tivoli Endpoint Manager, WSUS, PsTools, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), or equivalent software deployment tools.
- A+ certification is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server and desktop operating systems (Windows 7, Windows Server ).
- Ability to upgrade software and deploy software/OS patches on a continuous and timely basis.
- Customer service centric; able to trouble shoot issues, answer questions and respond timely to customer requests.
- Strong problem-solving skills, quick learner, and detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently or with team members.
- Effective written and verbal communication to convey technical issues to non-technical people.
- When necessary, initiate the documentation of software issues and or updates.
- Participate in daily meetings concerning deployments/implementations.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Experience administering applications in a Citrix (terminal services) environment.
- Familiarity with Citrix Provisioning.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Comp Science, IT, or related field or 4 years combined education and related work experience or a total of eight years job-related experience

- Must have excellent customer service skills and be very detail oriented. Ability to handle stressful situations with a level head.
