Description
A leading bank, based in Manchester are in need of experienced Senior Project Manager. The Project Manager to lead at least one work stream within the Forward Fix Programme. The programme is tasked with fixing root cause problems that cause unsecured loans to fall into non-compliance with CCA Legislation. The required forward fixes will be a mix of business process and system change. Deliveries are expected to be time critical due to the nature of events that can trigger non-compliance for both existing and new loans. This is a complex problem environment with many interrelated issues.. This is a long term contract role paying up to £480/day for the right candidateThe successful candidate will have the following:
End to end project management in a Banking environment using a waterfall methodology.
Experience of Agile techniques would be advantageous but not essential.
Strong stakeholder management skills up to and including Head of Function.
Implementing and enforcing good project disciplines and governance.
Strong planning skills and progress monitoring using a dedicated planning tool such as MS Project.
Experience in producing project estimates and maintaining project budgets.
Strong skills in the management of Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies.
Progress reporting.
Change control and scope management. Experience of work with and/or managing third parties is desirable.
Must be able to demonstrate delivery of both Technology and Business Change through project delivery.
Experience within the Banking regulatory environment and the compliance issues that might arise.
Subject matter expertise is not required but an appreciation as to what should be referred to SME's is essential
