Description

A Renewable Energy operator organisation requires a Financing Coordinator to focus on offshore windfarm projects. The role will be based in London, and starting ASAP on 12 months' notice. The operator requires an individual with previous experience in offshore wind energy industry; as well as experience in supporting and managing coordination of Contract for Difference (CfD), bidding procedures, and OFTO processes.

The Project CfD & Financing Manager requires additional resource to support the management of a number of project-critical workstreams. These included managing the coordination of the Contract for Difference (CfD) application and bidding process, supporting the organisation of the Financing process, assisting in the development of the OFTO Strategy and supporting wider Industrial Case work.

The role will entail a combination of core project management responsibilities such as facilitating and recording meetings/workshops, managing and tracking programmes, assisting with contract, budget and time recording management. In addition, the role will be required to support the development of strategic decision papers and memos, and in some cases take a lead on delivery of such decisions.

The role will support the CfD & Financing Manager throughout the process to reach Financial Close, and will evolve as the project progresses into different phases. The role will also provide extensive support to the Bid Manager as the complex bid process unfolds.
Responsibilities:
  • Recording all formal meetings for workstreams under the within the responsibility of the CfD & Financing Manager (CfD Committee, Financing, OFTO)
  • Be responsible for maintaining the CfD Programme and reporting progress with the Planning Team
  • Coordinate the budget management and tracking process on a monthly basis
  • Interface with the Document Controller to ensure that the CfD, Financing and OFTO functions are adequately recorded
  • Support any procurement activities to ensure suppliers are appointed on schedule and the necessary approvals are received by the Project
  • Assist the key interface with the Lender's Technical Advisor to enable the coordination of review of project assumptions
  • Assist in the tracking of risk management actions, value management and Basecase+ development
  • Coordinate workshops for the CfD, Financing and OFTO processes
  • Support the Bid Manager on gathering of project inputs for the financial model and developing the CfD Bid
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for peer review and lessons learned

Requirements:

  • Experience in coordinating complex workstreams
  • Good previous experience in offshore wind energy industry
  • Experienced in supporting and managing coordination of Contract for Difference (CfD), bidding procedures, and OFTO processes
  • Experience in delivering complex project management and administrative tasks
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent Word, Excel and Powerpoint skills required, preferably MS Project
