Payroll Specialist - Aberdeen - 3 Month Contract
Our client based in Aberdeen has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist.
Duties will include:
- To provide strategic direction to the payroll service
- Manage the delivery of a cost effective high quality Payroll service to Customers, ensuring accurate and timeous payment of all earnings and expenses in accordance with statutory legislation
- To support the Senior Adviser (Systems) to develop a high quality HR Payroll system
- Responsible for the development, coordination and reporting of payroll operational plans and associated reports and updates
- Support the management of change in Payroll to promote and action innovative approaches to business process improvement, communicating these to both internal and external customers
- Lead, manage and support the Payroll team, ensuring day to day workload is planned, managed and delivered within budget and timescales to achieve desired outcomes
- To be able to confirm the accuracy and calculation of all payroll records
- To provide a contact point plus technical expertise to meet the increasing demands of legislation
Essential Skills:
- Significant experience of line management in a Payroll environment
- Experience of leading operational teams in a customer focused environment
- Experience of working in a high volume, time critical payroll environment
Desired Skills:
- Experience of process mapping & improvement techniques
- MCIPP
- Successful track record of providing focused services within a best practice framework
