Proteus Europe is searching for a Senior System (Architect) Engineer for our client based in Brussels, Belgium
Your New role:-
Working in a small team, developing the overall client computing architecture
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
o Work as a subject matter expert, to define the client computing architecture:-
o Client components
o Server components
o Image deployment mechanisms
o Advise on solutions and select technologies
o Provide an architecture to support > 13,000 PC users in 15 locations and 24h/7d data centers
o Address all relevant IT risks (IT continuity, IT security, malicious codes, external facing systems,...)
Your Skills and experience:-
o 5 - 10 years experience in client computing
o Deep knowledge of the hardware and software platforms:-
o PC hardware (HP today, could vary in the future)
o Driver deployment so that different models can be supported easily
o Window technology, in particular image deployment technologies and best practices
o Windows system and security controls
o Internet Explorer system and security controls
o The relationship between these system and security controls and Microsoft Active Directory
o Ability to assess, organize, prioritize, estimate, execute and deliver results
o Influencing skills and awareness of Vaccines IT strategies and vision on a global level
o Proven ability to develop strategies which deliver business benefit, are measureable and actionable
o Demonstrable experience of successfully managing within the multi sourcing environment
o Demonstrable success in leading IT services to meet the needs of business within agreed SLAs,time and budget
o Global Outlook - Emphasis thinking beyond his/her own functional or territorial boundaries
o Aligns behaviours and decisions with the needs and goals of the global organization
o Demonstrable track record in communication, personal effectiveness, and influencing skills.
Education, Qualifications:
Computer science degree/engineering or equivalent
