Storage and Backup Engineer wanted for our client in BaselYour tasks:
- Engineer and maintain leading-edge heterogeneous NAS network storage infrastructure
hardware and software
- Technical local and global NAS storage & backup project management
- Maintain "state-of-the-art" and flexible storage infrastructure
- Supporting technical storage projects such as data migration and hardware lifecycle as well as Maintaining storage standard operation procedures and Working Instructions for Quality Management
- Managing and enhancing storage tools for centralized operations, monitoring and reporting.
- Using existing storage management tools and processes to provide storage reports and technical expertise to other system engineers and IT architects
- Handling incidents and request escalated from the service desk and ensuring proper infrastructure implementation of global standards, policies and regulatory compliance
Your experience/skills:
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise NAS storage as well as a training record in the area
- Good knowledge of storage operation such as NetApp, ISILON IQ, EMC-VNX, Brocade or Cisco
- Solid experience in large enterprise operation environment as well as SAN Fabric Switches, Veritas Netbackup and Datadomain
- Experience in Netapp 7 mode to cdot migrations in multi-protocol environments
- Bash / powershell scripting know how would be an advantage
