Description
Responsibilities:- Responsible for maintaining our Windows based Development and QA lab.
- Own all aspects of the lab, including HVAC, deploying AD/WSUS services, troubleshooting radio IP connectivity to remote sites, and tracking the inventory of the entire lab.
- Filled with several racks of 1/2U Servers, this room supports hundreds of VMs running on leading hypervisors, along with a host of Windows services and networking equipment.
- We will rely on your skills of systems administration, cabling and inventory to keep our lab running smoothly and reliably.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience deploying and maintaining high availability lab type virtual environments utilizing Xencenter or VMWare, driving Windows or Linux instances
- 3+ years of setting up Windows environments from the ground up, including AD and WSUS services
- Experience troubleshooting Cisco Catalyst networking equipment
- Obsessively organize messy cables, straightening and labeling them and updating documentation
- Experience with monitoring tools, like Nagios and Solarwinds
- Participate in an on-call 24x7 environment
- Great verbal and written communication and eagerness to continue learning
