Proteus Europe is searching for a French speaking Solaris / Unix System Engineer for a 2 month renewable contract role based in Luxembourg.Our Client :-

Your New role :-
Main responsibilities :
o System administration of mainly Solaris platform (Oracle), but also AIX and Linux Redhat platform.
o You are responsible for the installation, tuning and maintenance of the Unix infrastructure.
o Assist in maintaining and improving and innovation of the Unix platform.
o Follow-up of incidents, problems, changes related to this platform.
o First and second level support
o Scrupulous follow-up of the rules and the respect for quality, KPI, security baselines and system policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o On call service .
o Demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
o Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, perseverance, patience and flexibility and being goal oriented with keen attention to detail.
o Capable of multi-tasking and working with a variety of people.
o A desire to exceed project, client and co-worker expectations
o Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
Requirements :
o Relevant degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred.
o Certified Solaris, AIX, Linux or equivalent on experience.
o Min 5 years in the Unix domain (System maintenance, virtualization, storage, security, network and protocols).
o High experience internal security, LDAP, security management and implementation in a Unix environment.
o You are a strong communicator. You talk and write fluently English and French.
o You are familiar with ITIL and IT Service management (roles and processes)
