VMWare Engineer- Luxembourg
Languages: ENGLISH with FRENCH
Skills and experience:
- Relevant degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred
- Certified VMWare or equivalent on experience
- Experience in Windows 2003, 2008 and 2012
- Knowledge of Netapp and San is recommended.
- Minimum 3 years in the Windows domain (System maintenance, virtualization, storage, security, network & protocols)
- High experience internal security, security management and implementation in a VMware environment
- Familiar with ITIL and IT Service management (roles and processes)
- A desire to exceed project, client and co-worker expectations
Description of work:
- System administration of ESX and Clusters platforms VMware 5.1 and 5.5 and Windows server platforms 2003, 2008 and 2012
- Management of DRP related to these platform (SRM)
- Monitoring of the VMware and Windows/Intel infrastructure
- Follow-up of incidents and problems related to these platforms
- Participation in project to set up new VMWare/Windows/Intel environments
- Follow-up of the rules and the respect for quality, KPI, security baselines and system policies
- Plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, perseverance, patience and flexibility and being goal oriented with keen attention to detail
- Multi-tasking and working with a variety of people.
