Description
Harris Global are currently recruiting for a specialist security analyst with exposure to/good understanding of end point monitoring and security incident management. This is a dedicated role with an internationally known healthcare organisation based in West London.
The specialist security analyst will have the following roles & responsibilities:
- Receive incident notification from third party Managed Security Services Partner (MSSP) or internal source
- Gather further data from the company's systems, teams and suppliers as required
- Communicate with all stakeholders, providing security advice and guidance to support remediation, or establish that no escalation is required
- Complete root cause analysis with MSSP and company teams/suppliers as appropriate
- Interact with the company's internal infrastructure and technology teams and third party suppliers as required to manage incidents, updating the service ticket/incident record and knowledge base systems as appropriate
- Handle the company's incidents in a potentially sensitive situation, where SLA response times are critical by taking ownership of support cases and working them through to resolution
- Engage with MSSP to ensure continued efficient operation of their managed end point monitoring solution
- Identify common and repeat problems through trend analysis to propose process and technical improvements
- Provide MI and reporting across all security incidents
- Perform other duties as requested
The specialist security analyst will have the following skills & experience:
At least two (2) years of related experience and/or training in the field of IT security monitoring and analysis, cyber threat analysis, vulnerability analysis, or similar cyber security related field.
Hands-on experience with any of the following (or similar technologies) would be useful:
(Carbon Black, Bit9, McAfee ePO, Trustwave/Intellitactics SIM, Avecto Privilege Guard, Lumension Device Control, McAfee Device Control, McAfee Endpoint Encryption)
