The Senior Manufacturing Engineer job is based in Athlone with a Global Medical Device Company that offers a great opportunity for learning and growth within a very exciting role.

As our Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the successful identification and execution of key projects in support of strategic business goals across manufacturing operations located in Europe & Asia. They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

These projects will be in several categories with the primary focus on Product Value Engineering optimization

About the Job:
  • Analyse and identify opportunities to improve product cost structures.
  • Plan and execute all aspects of product value engineering projects.
  • Project manage all activities in a responsible, professional and proactive manner
  • Liaise effectively with all functions as appropriate, e.g. Project Management, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory compliance, Quality Assurance.


Requirements
  • Ideally 5+ year's experience in manufacturing, preferably from medical device/ plastics processing technology Manufacturing Engineer eligibility - Level 8 degree ideally in Science/Technology/Engineering related discipline.
  • Proven problem solving skills.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects from conception to completion on time and within budget.
  • Working Knowledge and experience of Six Sigma & Lean principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills


Salary and benefits:

Depending on experience €55K+ + 10% bonus, health care (employee), pension contribution.
