Description
Payroll, Compensation & Pensions Specialist (MCIPP desirable) required for initial 3 month contract for key public sector client based in Aberdeen.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide strategic direction to the payroll service.
- To support the Senior Adviser (Systems) to develop a high quality HR Payroll system in line with statutory legislation, Audit and Pension requirements
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within a large, complex and time-critical payroll environment (ideally at line management level).
- Must have up-to-date and detailed working knowledge of statutory payroll regulations and legislative requirements and be able to pragmatically solve payroll related problems.
- Must be conversant regarding current legislative demands eg Salary Sacrifice/pension schemes.
- Detailed knowledge of day to day payroll activities.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of new payroll system implementation
- Experience of process mapping & improvement techniques
- MCIPP qualified
- Experience of working within a local authority or the public sector.
