IT Field Technician - Part Time, as-needed - FLAGSTAFF, AZ and Surrounding Areas.

Position Summary

Responsible for performing on-site installation, maintenance, repair and/or installations of desktop products; may include - PC workstations, laptops, printers, terminals and associated devices. May also upgrade existing systems and conduct routine maintenance activities. Ensures compliance with company technical and quality standards/procedures, as well as the highest degree of customer satisfaction, at all times.

DETAILS

Part time; AS NEEDED
! - Averages approximately 15 - 20+ hours per week, hours are not guaranteed, hours worked are hours paid.

Location:

  • Base Support City FLAGSTAFF, AZ and Surrounding Areas with travel up to a 150 mile radius, when necessary

Hours of Operation:

  • Generally 8:00AM to 6:00PM, but there will be instances in which service is required outside of those hours
  • Monday thru Sunday availability is required, but the support will primarily be Monday thru Friday, with occasional weekend service calls, as needed

Response Time:

  • Same Day or Next Day support is required as we are servicing Retail, Financial, and Insurance industry accounts

Additional Details:

  • Averages 15 - 20+ hours per week; but number of hours per week are not guaranteed, hours worked are hours paid
  • Hourly rate: $15.00 per hour; no benefits
  • Travel Time reimbursement "PORTAL TO PORTAL": drive time is paid at the same hourly rate as On-site repair time (subject to evaluation by Elite mapping software)
  • Mileage reimbursement "PORTAL TO PORTAL": $0.34/mile driven (subject to evaluation by Elite in-house mapping software)
  • Requirements:

    • Travel to customer sites is mandatory and requires that candidate have a reliable form of transportation available to you on a daily basis
    • Employees working on client accounts must possess A+ certification or willing to obtain A+ Certification at their expense within first (3) months of employment
    • Performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment
    • Performs basic computer hardware and software installations
    • Managing the shipping and tracking (Logistics) of all parts and associated paperwork, on daily basis, is mandatory
    • Ensures all systems work properly and equipment is packaged and transported correctly
    • Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support. This includes service that exceeds response time, repair time, lack of parts, or any other issue that could impact customer satisfaction
    • Represents Elite Tek Services and it's Clients in a professional & businesslike manner
    • Communicates effectively with customers and associates
    • Interacts with customers, as directed, in a professional & businesslike manner; responding to routine technical questions or request for information

    Additional details/requirements of what we are looking for:

    • Employment is subject to Drug Test, Background Screen and DMV Records Screen

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The physical demands described are those, which must be met by an employee to successfully, perform the essential functions of this job.

    The person in this position must be able to:

    • Frequently talk, hear and see.
    • Frequently use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
    • Regularly stand, walk, reach with hands and/or arms, and sit - all for long periods of time.
    • Ability to stand upright to repair equipment for possible long periods of time
    • Ability to crawl on the floor to get behind and/or under office furniture and/or equipment
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Frequently be able to read computer terminal screen and use keyboard.

    Preferred Knowledge and Comfortable working with or LEARNING the following:

    • POS (Point of Sale) equipment
    • Laser Printers
    • PC desktop support and laptop

    Possible Opportunities for Certifications (at customer's request):

    • Customer specific Cert such as State Farm, XEROX or Lexmark Printer Certifications
