IT Infrastructure and Security EngineerOur client, a global leading telecommunication company are recruiting for a IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer to join their business in the UK.
Position Title: IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer
Position Type: Contract
Start Date: May 2016
Duration: 3 months rolling

Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide technical support for the CS Network infrastructure
- Ensure the security of the network from internal and external attack
- Support all network servers
- Monitor and respond to alarms/attacks on the network
- Design, propose and lead on delivering solutions to enhance the network security
- Diagnosing complex technical issues on the network and resolve them following change management good practice
- Maintain the network infrastructure diagram
- To organise and conduct technical training and technical knowledge
- Troubleshooting and resolving product/network problems
- Attend customer sites
- Support technical tasks related to IP Infrastructure in a CS or MS environment
Qualifications:
- Project experience of planning and delivering network security enhancements
- Technical experience to be able to resolve 1st line, 2nd line and even 3rd line IT and network support issues
- Experience of IT infrastructure design and maintenance; design of network security architectures; configuration and support and maintenance of Servers and Storages, firewalls, VPN, IPSec, IPS, VLAN
- Experience of configuring, supporting and maintaining Anti-Virus on servers
- Excellent knowledge of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS etc.
- Qualified as a security network engineer (e.g. CCNA or above)
- Good knowledge of Wide Area Networks (WAN) including MPLS
- Good knowledge of open source solutions (e.g. Linux)
