Safety Co-ordinator - Aviation
A Safety Co-ordinator with Aviation experience is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Preston.
This is a 12 month part time (3 days per week) contract working for a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Safety Co-ordinator contract role
As directed by the Safety & Compliance Manager, the main responsibilities of this position will be to coordinate the operation of the airlines Safety Management System.
Key skills required for the Safety Co-ordinator
- Recent experience of operations in a civilian air transport scheduled or charter airline.
- Detailed Knowledge of aviation safety management systems including Hazard identification, risk assessment and controls.
- Knowledge and experience in investigation techniques.
- Capable of adopting a flexible approach to problems solving.
- Sound organisational abilities.
- Meticulous eye for detail and be capable of working on his/her own initiative without close supervision.
- Good IT skills including demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel is required.
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds.
