Security Analyst, 1st or 2nd Level Support, Data Loss Prevention, Information SecurityMy client, a leading communications company URGENLTY require x2 Security Analysts to provide 1st and 2nd Level Support to their large internal messaging system. Working within the Security Function, the Security Analyst will be primarily responsible for Compliance and Data Loss Prevention. The Security Analyst will be the first interface to the system alerts, deciding whether a threat is serious and should be escalated to the forensic team or can be dealt with personally. The Security Analyst will also be responsible for educating employees about Data Loss Prevention and Compliance. Although not a technical role, the Security Analyst must have a good understanding of Information Security, information ethics and what sensitive information is.
Requirements:
- Ideally 1 Year minimum experience with Information Security
- Experience in a Compliance or Regulatory environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience providing 1st or 2nd level support for a large organisation
- It would be beneficial to have in depth knowledge of information security laws, and legal issues such as: Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA), Data Protection Act (DPA), Computer Misuse Act (1990), ISO 207001 or 27002
- Having a degree in a Science Technology, Engineering, Maths, (STEM) subject or equally a degree in Law, E-Discovery would be beneficial but not necessary
