The Project POD buyer is responsible for supporting the team projects for the creation of a range of products, it will define the supply chain for mechanical components for prototyping phases and the series, he/she will be responsible to monitor the implementation to delivery and mechanical equipment.
The Buyer Project should demonstrate its leadership in the management of business constraints. He/she will use his/her experience to solve complex problems, develop and achieve their individual and collective objectives in the short, medium and long term.
Skills
Understanding Marine POD needs; market trend, Couts, lead time, capacity/capability supplier and location constraints.
Sourcing and qualifying suppliers for the project
Set the price for each equipment or via RFQ's & negotiations
Negotiate specific contractual terms including "flow down" Customer contract
For amounts large purchases, place orders and track milestones
Monitorer KPIs projects (Cost out, Cash, vendor qualification, OTD control, documentation and shipping)
Support the establishment of costing tools, promote communication tools suppliers
Participate in strategic deals journals
3rd cycle curriculum required special purchases technical training (basic mechanics)
Fluent English language skills.
