The Financial Reporting team in London within Group finance is responsible for:
Producing and analysing the Group's Annual and Interim statutory external financial reporting requirements and contributing to the quarterly Interim Management Statement processes. This includes providing insightful, business-led analytical review of the financial data provided to senior managementEnsuring the Group is prepared for changes in financial reporting by leading the implementation of new IFRSs and accounting policies, working closely with the Accounting Policy teamPreparation of procedures and policies to be followed by country finance teams within the Group for IFRS reportingMain responsibilities
Engagement in the preparation of financial sections of the Group PLC Annual report and Accounts and related preliminary external market results announcementEnsuring accuracy of financial numbers and key performance indicators and liaison with Country finance teams across the Group to improve reportingAnalytical review and understanding of the disclosures within the Annual report and preparation of the Annotated Preliminary Announcement to provide senior management with business insight into the reportAssist preparation of papers for Board and Audit Committee on the results announcements, developments in financial reportingBuild and maintain effective control environment around the Group consolidation and financial reporting processGuide counterparts in the Shared Service Centre team offshore to support and deliver Group Finance team objectives, driving excellence in serviceEstablish strong working relationships with Country Finance teams across the network and external auditors to support the resolution of accounting and reporting issues faced by countries.Key skills
Qualified Accountant with experience in financial services and good working knowledge in financial reporting.
