Enterprise Risk Senior Manager - Compliance,Risk,Audit

Contract. Chester. 6 months + £Competitive

Our leading financial services client has an urgent requirement for a Enterprise Risk Manager. This is a complex role requiring a detailed understanding of the laws, rules and regulations, systems, processes, risks and controls in relation to operational, compliance, conduct, credit, model and reputational risk across multiple front line units and support functions in respect of the UK Credit Card product.

Key accountabilites

  • ERIT's critical stakeholders are the Test Owner group within CRO (Compliance, Conduct, Operational, and Credit Risk), the FLU's whose processes and controls are being assessed, and the Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) team whose remit is to ensure all Testing teams operate in accordance with the prescriptive EIT policy and standards.
  • The role-holder will need to possess the ability to lead the development and execution of the overall ERIT assurance plan and in collaboration with Testing Shared Services and Risk and Compliance officers, ensures accountability for the completion of testing activities in alignment with the Independent Testing- Enterprise Policy & Standard in a timely manner.
  • The role-holder will be able to lead the team in influencing and securing support from senior stakeholders to gain acceptance of the results of the assurance testing and successfully articulate the risks to Compliance Officers.
  • The role-holder consults with compliance officers, operational risk to execute an effective testing program per requirements. This role contributes to the identification of themes and trends at the front line unit, control function and enterprise level. The Testing Manager proactively manages the relationship with external consultants, front line unit ("FLU")/Control Function ("CF") Compliance and Operational Risk groups. This role participates in routines involving FLU/CF Compliance and regulatory agencies.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in leading a team in a second-line Compliance Testing or an Audit function in the creation of plan & annual plans and delivering scheduled assurance activities on time and in budget.
  • Experience in leading the management of business and risk management stakeholders (at all levels) including both engagement and issue management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment, recent developments and regulatory outlook.
  • Extensive technical knowledge and experience of risk-based testing and auditing approaches.
  • Required: Degree and Legal, Compliance or Audit Qualification.
  • Preferred: Specific regulatory expertise accreditations.
