For a longer term engagement at our banking clients' site in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

Operations Analyst - Lync / Skype for Business (3792)

In this role you will be a part of a dynamic team responsible for operational support of a Global Skype for Business 2013 implementation with Enterprise Voice capabilities. The role will be primarily responsible for conducting critical system maintenance activities in the environment in order to enable the stability and resiliency of this real-time service.

Your profile:
  • 1 to 3 years experience supporting or deploying Microsoft Communications Solutions (OCS, Lync, Skype for Business) in enterprise environments (5,000+ users)
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Lync 2010 | Lync 2013 | Skype for Business, including supporting core functionality on desktop / mobile clients, and integration with Microsoft and custom applications
  • Solid knowledge in user and access management and/or configuring security in Lync environment
  • Experience with backup and restore of environments, testing, and Disaster Recovery
  • Good knowledge in reporting on system performance and stability
  • 3+ years experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Exchange 2010+ or VoIP platforms (Avaya, Cisco, etc.) in an enterprise environment
  • 3+ years experience administering all aspects of Windows Server environments, including provisioning, supporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • General understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Routing, and other core network technologies
  • Exposure to Firewalls, Proxies, Network Segmentation and other core security services
  • Moderate understanding of functionality requiring Edge infrastructure (Browser clients, Federation, etc.)
  • Experience configuring COTS tools and developing custom tools used for managing and monitoring KPIs
  • Experience with Enterprise Voice and Call Management features in Lync (voice routing, call management, E911, and SIP trunking)
  • Experience with third party voice and content Compliance Recording tools (e.g., Verba)
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with end-users in a support environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to collaborate with others and effectively work in a team environment


Core responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting incidents escalated from L1 Support and Local Help Desk for the Lync Unified Computing environment
  • Conducting critical system maintenance activities required to maintain service quality and performance of the Lync environment (core Lync features), including: patching, server refresh, capacity management, development and review of reports, and backup / recovery
