Marine Engineer/Commissioning Engineer - Marine/Naval/Propulsion/Pneumatic/Hydraulics

A new contract opportunity has arisen for a Marine/Commissioning Engineer, to join a defence electronics specialist on a 3 month contract working in Indonesia.

The successful candidate will support in the co-ordination of the trials and commissioning activities associated with the platform refit and the new propulsion system as part of a Mid Life Modernisation contract. The role also includes the oversight of sub-contractors ensuring that they deliver prompt and sound engineering solutions to defects and issues encountered during the trials phase.

Responsibilities include:

*Co-ordination of the Marine Engineering aspects of the platform refit and propulsion commissioning and acceptance activities
*Maintain the Marine Engineering governance for propulsion and refitted systems
*Provide support and guidance to the Surabaya Operations Manager on technical matters
*Manage the day to day "In Country" Marine Engineering technical and acceptance programme
*Provide technical oversight and management of subcontractors/ship builder as required
*Planning, executing and reviewing all technical deliverables associated with platform and propulsion commissioning and acceptance
*Assess and monitor all risks and opportunities associated with the Marine Engineering aspects of the commissioning and acceptance activities
*Identify and support continuous improvement through review and the use of Learning from Experience (LfE)
*Management and control of technical requirements including acceptance criterion
*Monitor compliance with, and adherence to, all relevant corporate and regulating bodies' codes of conduct
*Conduct technical peer reviews ensuring all integration and acceptance activities meet the requirements
*Attend and contribute to Customer Review Meetings providing reporting input as required.
