My client are leading providers within Banking and Payment technologies and they are currently seeking a Credit Underwriting Specialist to join on a contract basis in Edinburgh at a Retail Bank.
The role of the Credit Underwriting Specialist is to help in the set up and ultimately be a key part of a department of first and second line fraud analysts, develop strong working relationships with internal and client project & business teams.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Detailed understanding of credit underwriting processes and procedures
- Detailed understanding of regulations relating to Treating Customers Fairly
- Process mapping and documenting procedure
- Detailed understanding of credit underwriting systems eg Equifax, Experian, Call Credit, Transact SM
- Understanding of fraud & AML compliance with specific emphasis on reviews within a retail banking environment
- In depth knowledge of lending principles, credit analysis, and underwriting methodology.
