Description
Financial reporting change accountant is required to join the change team at a leading bank in Bristol.
The role requires a qualified accountant with experience of implementing reporting change. They would be expected to lead a team consisting of an excel modeller, and assistant reporting manager with a view to completing the process and EUC build for c.30 companies including some of the largest pension and general insurers in the UK.
WHAT'S ON OFFER:
RATE: £400- £500 PER DAY
LOCATION: BRISTOL
CONTRACT: 6 months
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with the modeller to analyse current reporting data processes with a view to identifying where having a new consistent process may lead to the need for new adjustments.
- Assisting with the build of such adjustments (principally on SAP Basis);
- Analyse of accounting records across multiple ledger systems (OLAS, Oracle, SAP) so as to assess the impact of the new approach on current Statutory note production processes;
- Analysing and updating accounting mapping hierarchies;
- Developing and building new IFRS financial statement disclosure processes
- Managing the UAT, and working with a project manager (this is not a project management role) to develop dry run test plans/scripts
- Embed and train the Finance Reporting customer teams.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should be able to show previous finance reporting, and/or life accounting experience. Experience of large Group statutory accounting would be advantageous.
We also expect the candidate to be able to demonstrate strong excel (use of complex formulae, lookups, pivot tables etc) and recent ledger use/development (ideally SAP).
