Description
*Installation, upgrade and configuration of UNIX and Linux serves, Networking and related tools.
*Assist in the development and planning of systems regarding the creation and maintenance of Unix and Linux
*Security of the Servers and Network and maintenance of users/roles.
*Implementation of departmental procedures for change control/operation.
*Backup & recovery of the systems.
*Coordination and liaison with all suppliers as part of support/projects
*Responsible for responding to hardware failure escalation call as appointed by the Systems Admin Manager
Experience:
*5 or more years experience in an Unix/Linux environment.
*Unix Scripting skills will be essential.
*Networking Routing skills would be a benefit (TCP/IP, BGP, etc)
*Knowledge and experience of Solaris System, Redhat, HPUX, AIX, Cisco Network technologies, routing/switching technologies, ACL management.
*Have strong interpersonal skills
*Be determined to succeed
*Be able to work in a highly pressurized and challenging environment
