Description

Due to a number of key projects being undertaken by my exclusive client, we are currently seeking multiple experienced Installation Engineers to assist in the delivery of a number of network refresh projects. We are seeking Engineers who have a proven track record of installing various network kit and have direct telecoms experience with related clients. Due to the nature of the projects, candidates MUST have valid SC Clearance, or be willing to complete the necessary checks to become Security Cleared. My client have multiple projects both live and on the horizon, so this is a fantastic opportunity for Engineers who are looking for long-term contracts with a major industry name.

Key Responsibilities

The appointed Engineers shall perform the following Installation activities where applicable:
*Inventory the equipment and report any shortages
*Install the supplied empty rack into the location specified by the customer (including top and bottom support)
*Install supplied fuse panel into relay/rack cabinet
*Run & Terminate main DC power feeds from the customers Battery Distribution Fuse Bay (BDFB)
*Install the chassis as per customer defined location in the supplied rack/cabinet
*Run & Terminate chassis ground cable to relay rack termination port
*Run & Terminate all fibre optic cables from the customer termination port
*Run & Terminate all RJ45/Cat5 cables from the interface to the Router/switch points
*Run & Terminate all electrical cables
*Label all cables, racks & shelves
*Remove all rubbish from site

Candidate Attributes

*Must hold valid SC Clearance OR be happy to obtain this through the client
*Valid CSCS/PPE accreditation
*Extensive of experience of using Ciena kit product suites)
*3-5 Years' experience in Network Installation & Structured Cabling
*Extensive knowledge of cabling & network equipment & terminology
*Proven track-record of installations on customer sites
*Must have own vehicle and be able to travel to local sites as requested
*Own laptop with 3G/4G dongle
*Great customer facing skills
