We are looking for a SAP Basis Consultant for a project in Dublin
Responsibilities
Consultant required with hands-on SAP Basis experience.
Monitoring of SAP systems (ERP, R/3, PHR, IS/U, CRM, Portal, BW, XI, PI, PPM, Business
Objects and Solution Manager) both through Solution Manager and through standard SAP transactions on system.
Optimizing and tuning of SAP environments in line with Business requirements.
Handling queries from Support teams on a wide range of SAP issues.
Software Installations and upgrades, Application of Support Packs and Support pack Stacks using standard tools, Kernel and DB2 upgrades.
Processing and analysing metrics on system performance.
Database administration on DB2.
Assisting with Project builds where required
Possess strong communication skills for interaction with different stakeholders technical and Non-technical.
Ability to create/maintain project documentation to allow smooth transition of Project into Support organisation
Ability to maintain a common set of scoping, design, implementation and test artefacts and templates in line with agreed Project definitions
Support of core business processes
Preventative maintenance tasks to ensure IT systems are operational and secure, and to prevent future incidents
Troubleshooting incident and problem resolution, maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction possible
Batch monitoring and recovery of failures with a view to improving the system/batch performance
Delivery of daily support tasks, change requests, large changes request and ad hoc unplanned changes.

The necessary skills and experience required :
Relevant degree with at least 5 years hands on SAP Basis experience in the following areas:
Core experience with a majority of the following systems - SAP ECC6, SAP IS/U, SAP Portal, SAP BW, SAP PI.BW/BO.
AIX/DB2 experience or Linux/DB2 experience
Performance monitoring, optimizing and tuning SAP environments in line with Business requirements
Software Installations and upgrades.
Application of Support Packs, Support Pack stacks using standard tools, Kernel upgrades
Database administration - DB2, Database upgrades, fix packs, optimisation and tuning
Day to day management of the system which has a user base of 5000+
Communication Skills
Portal/JAVA Experience, CRM experience, Solution Manager Experience, MCFU, HANA and hardware experience is desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and work planning abilities.
