Your tasks:
- Provide subject matter expertise for managed desktop environment, ensuring effective support and delivery of services for user productivity, and implementation and maintenance of associated systems and infrastructure
- Provide third level support and implement operational procedures
- Coordinate with colleagues in the Enterprise Architecture and Security team, and regional teams on architecture, design and development of managed desktop service and associated infrastructure
Your qualifications
- Proven experience in the information and communications field
- Strong experience supporting complex, large-scale Microsoft Windows server and workstation environments, Windows services and Active directory
- Experience working with globally distributed stakeholders supporting managed desktop and productivity services
- Thorough and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and client systems and Systems Centre Configuration Manager
- Excellent knowledge of workstation configuration management and software distribution
- Excellent knowledge of Active Directory and authentication systems
- Very good knowledge of workstation security
- Very good knowledge of virtualization systems and remote desktop services
- Very good knowledge of Windows file and print services
- Very good knowledge of scripting for systems deployment, operation and maintenance
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP internetworking and related services such as DHCP, DNS
