Systems Engineer (Broadsoft experience required)

Description:

CPE systems engineer will evaluate network solutions designs, develop CPE integration plans, and lead CPE certification test efforts for IMS based residential and commercial, and Broadsoft based commercial product offerings.

CPE systems engineer will help create quality test plans, test results capture documents, configuration guides and certification documents.

CPE systems engineer will be part of a team and will work closely with other engineers and non engineering teams.

Experience:

CPE systems engineer must have at least 6 years of experience in SIP based voice telephony architecture especially the Broadsoft BroadWorks platform; voice phone testing and troubleshooting for many voice features; and voice IAD testing and troubleshooting.

CPE systems engineer must be proficient with CPE test execution and reporting automation, including automation structure, development, and maintenance.

Detailed Knowledge Required:

Embedded CPE (eMTA/eDVA)

Standalone CPE (MTA, IADs, IP PBXs, IP Phones) IMS functional components

IMS signalling and media flows

Broadsoft R19 or greater feature sets, debugging/troubleshooting, API Interfaces, and functional components of the a BroadWorks solution

Session Border Controller functions Network debugging tools

DOCSIS 2.0 and 3.0

xPON

Provisioning and Management of broadband access network equipment Device provisioning flows including config files, firmware loading Troubleshooting at CPE level and at network/protocol/system level

DQoS methods and mechanisms Microsoft Office product suite
