Description

The (ideal) specific experience for this role is as follows:

  • Cyber or security projects within the past 3-5 years
  • Mix of infrastructure and development projects
  • Change to policy, process, data assets and/or operating model
  • Please note we have an urgent need and that even 1 or these 3 could be of interest with solid PM and stakeholder management credentials.

    ROLE DEFINITION/PURPOSE

    Accountable for the end to end delivery applying fit-for-purpose application of IT & Change toolkit (eg Waterfall, Agile) to support timely business outcomes and quality

    DIMENSIONS

    Project Managers will typically manage a Project/Book of work taking into account:

    • Size of budget - Low (typically up to circa £1.5m)
    • Low-Medium level of technical complexity/risk
    • Management of virtual teams to achieve delivery milestones and outcomes
    • Management of dependencies within Project

    CONTEXT

    • Project Managers will be aligned to specific CIO or CISO Directorates
    • Project Managers will be involved in the management, governance and delivery of end to end change assignments
    • Project Managers will operate within the relevant governance frameworks of Aviva, CIO/CISO and Partners
    • Project Managers will maintain a clear line of sight to the Aviva Strategy, CIO and CISO objectives

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • The delivery and governance of a agreed pieces of work to time, cost and quality
    • Ensure a focus and on-going challenge around the scope and associated business case of each piece of work.
    • To demonstrate effective governance of project risk and issue management
    • To build and maintain strong relationships with the business and other key stakeholders (incl 3rd Parties)
    • To effectively deploy appropriate CIO toolkit (eg Waterfall/Agile) ensuring a focus on quality and timely delivery and operate within the appropriate standards. Includes proactive management of fit-for-purpose delivery methodology, timely gating submissions and supporting project documentation.
    • To lead in the delivery of solutions which support and enhance the IT architecture and operate within the agreed business service levels and standards in compliance with our IT security policies
    • To engage with Service and release management in a timely manner to ensure the provision of controlled environments and release management processes in order to support change
    • Quality Management of the IT Delivery Approach (continual challenge and improve organisation/process/estimation)
    • Safeguard system assets - ensuring short term delivery objectives are met without compromising longer term strategy and system integrity

    • IT and Change Professionals on an assignment or line management basis, eg Business Analysts
