We are currently recruiting for a SOC Analyst to be based in South Yorkshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with ECS, one of the UK's fastest growing IT Consultancies providing expertise to a wide range of high profile organisations.
The position requires you to have a strong background in incident management within a busy SOC, and detailed experience working within general IT Security, in particular Cyber Security. You will be responsible for assisting with implementing operational strategy, whilst providing ongoing protection against vulnerability and threat.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing security incidents from end to end, working with key stakeholders to provide regular updates.
- Undertake post indecent appraisals, and asses the success of control and monitoring systems.
- Keeping on top of potential risks and threats.
- Working with cross departmental colleagues to provide an effective service to all internal customers.
- Working with senior stakeholders to develop strategies to generate reports to highlight performance and threat management techniques.
- Assisting with training other members of the team where necessary.
Ideally you will have experience of relevant products such as JIRA, McAfee, SourceOne or EPO, and a relevant certification in Cyber Security though this is not essential.
