Description
Vulnerability Assurance Security Engineer
The successful candidate will join a highly skilled team of Server/Support engineers providing technical security infrastructure support to Central and Regional UK Government users.
The role will require a flexible working ethic and a pragmatic approach to IT Support, they will have second/third line support background, and have good customer service and communication skills
Description of Role
- Re-actively respond to incidents raised by both internal and external customers against specific Windows Servers so as to accurately diagnose and resolve problems within contractual Service Levels.
- Communicate with other Service Provider areas, both internal and external, so as to accurately facilitate the implementation of new technologies and initiatives affecting the customer's estate within established guidelines and processes.
- Set up and implement AV Security and Device Control Policies and Exclusions.
- Manage daily update and distribution of AV dat files in accordance with contractual obligations.
- React to threat alerts from Infrastructure/endpoints devices.
- Maintain, Operate & Diagnose Endpoint Security Systems ensuring contractual obligations are met.4
- Produce compliance reports on request for security management teams. Education and Experience Required

- Customer Service
- Candidates should possess Disclosure Scotland/current BPSS clearance or be willing to undertake appropriate security vetting to achieve
- Candidates should be UK national, no dual nationals should apply
Desirable skills and knowledge/certifications
- Any Microsoft/Citrix/VMWare certification
- Endpoint Security Products such as McAfee/Symantec/Lumension
- Knowledge of industry security standards
